Why ngbootstrap exists

Many Angular teams already use Bootstrap for layout, spacing, and visual language, but still need richer Angular UI for application screens. ngbootstrap focuses on that middle ground: practical components for data-heavy apps and builder-style workflows that still feel natural inside Bootstrap projects.

What is included today

The library includes a high-performance DataGrid, Splitter, Stepper, Tree, Typeahead, Angular-native Form Builder and drag-and-drop primitives, responsive guidance, and accessibility-first documentation. The DataGrid is the deepest component today, with sorting, filtering, pagination, editing, export, row features, column features, search, chart integrations, and theme options.

Built for maintainable apps

The goal is not only to provide controls, but to make them predictable in real products. Components use Angular patterns, typed inputs and outputs, keyboard-friendly behavior, Bootstrap-compatible styling, and docs that map back to the public library API.

Where it is going

The docs site will continue to grow with release notes, implementation guides, examples, and practical articles. This blog page is structured so article data can later come from an API without redesigning the page.

This project is not affiliated with ng-bootstrap or ngx-bootstrap. Those projects focus mainly on Bootstrap components for Angular. ngbootstrap focuses on Angular UI for data-heavy apps, especially Data Grid, Angular-native Form Builder, drag and drop workflows, documentation examples, and performance-focused Angular patterns.
